CRC was founded in 2011 to oversee the formation of a nationwide consortium of community-based cardiology practices. The Consortium was created in response to the practices’ need to gain access to more innovative research protocols, program development, and expertise in research operations and training. The goal of the Consortium was to aggregate the collective potential of the community-based cardiologists and their common data platform for use by the biomedical sciences industry, universities, and other stakeholders in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
Today, CRCs team has overseen more than 800 clinical trials and provides access to a nation-wide “living lab” through its ability to collectively capture, monitor, and query cardiology data across its entire network for both retrospective and prospective research initiatives.
